These are fully handmade wire wrapped mookaite gemstone copper dangle earrings. The copper frames and ear wires were carefully bended into shape by hand and then hammered. I then wire wrapped the mookaite beads to the earring frames. Mookaite is a beautifully striking sedementary rock formed from marine fossils and is exclusively found near Mooka Creek in Australia.
NOTE: * I purchase the bare copper wire used through Rio Grande Jewelry Supply. The copper is 99.9% pure.
*Copper tarnishes when exposed to oxygen and moisture. This will cause the copper to naturally darken over time. If you'd like to slow this process you can wipe your earrings with a soft cloth after each use and store away in an airtight container.
